For the fourth year running, we’re honored to support this incredible event benefiting challenged athletes from across San Diego County.
On Saturday, July 18, at La Jolla Shores Beach, individuals with special needs got the chance to catch a wave, supported every step of the way by dedicated volunteers and surf instructors. Special thanks to Windansea Surf Club, the La Jolla-based nonprofit that organizes and hosts this event every year, their volunteers have a long, generous history of showing up for community groups throughout San Diego and La Jolla, and this day simply doesn’t happen without them.
What makes this one special to us? So many of the same athletes and families come back year after year, it’s become a tradition we get to be part of. Seeing how we can make a meaningful difference just by showing up for the incredible community that supports us. Truly, there is nothing quite like the absolute joy of watching someone catch their very first wave.
